1. Agreement to Terms

By using radonmitigationdesmoines.com or booking services with Radon Mitigation Des Moines, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or our services.

2. Our Services

Radon Mitigation Des Moines provides radon testing and mitigation services in Des Moines and central Iowa, including:

  • Commercial Radon Systems: Testing and mitigation for schools, HUD multifamily, offices, warehouses and vapor intrusion sites.
  • New Construction Radon Systems: Passive system installs for builders, post-construction testing and passive-to-active upgrades.
  • Radon System Maintenance: Error codes, fans, pipes and joints, and inspections for existing radon systems, including ones we didn't install.
  • Radon Testing: CRM, short-term, long-term, real estate and post-mitigation radon testing by credentialed testers.
  • Residential Radon Mitigation: Radon systems matched to your foundation: basement sub-slab, crawlspace, exterior, waterborne and vapor intrusion.

All testing and mitigation is performed by technicians credentialed by the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services. The specific scope of any job is set out in your written quote or proposal.

3. Quotes and Pricing

Prices are quoted in US dollars. Quotes are based on the information available at the time, including your test result, foundation type, photos and any site visit. If we find conditions that change the scope, such as an additional slab section or hidden damage, we will explain the change and get your approval before doing extra work.

4. Scheduling and Cancellations

You can book or change appointments through our 24-hour support line. Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. For real estate tests, the client is responsible for arranging access and closed-house conditions.

5. Testing

Radon test results reflect conditions during the test period. Radon levels change with weather, season and how the building is used. Tampering with a monitor or not keeping closed-house conditions can make results invalid.

6. Mitigation Results

Every system we install is followed by a post-mitigation test. Because soil, foundations and building use vary, we do not promise a specific final radon level. Our goal is to bring levels below the EPA action level of 4.0 pCi/L, and our warranty covers system performance as described below.

7. Warranty

Systems and installs carry a 5-year warranty from the install date. If a covered system doesn't perform, we will return to adjust it. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, power interruptions, alterations by others, removed or unsealed sump lids, or new construction and renovation that changes the foundation after installation. Contact us for the full warranty terms that apply to your job.

8. Payment

We accept cash, credit cards and checks. Payment terms are confirmed in your quote or invoice.

9. Website Use

Content on this website, including guides and calculators, is for general education only and is not a substitute for a professional radon test or on-site assessment. Calculator outputs are estimates.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent allowed by law, Radon Mitigation Des Moines is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the website or our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service involved.

11. Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, graphics, logos and images, belongs to Radon Mitigation Des Moines or its licensors and may not be copied without permission.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page.
