Ryan Coleman founded Radon Mitigation Des Moines on March 6, 2016. The goal was simple: give Des Moines homeowners credentialed radon testing and mitigation with a real warranty behind it, and make it easy to get help.
Iowa is an EPA Zone 1 state, and about 71% of Iowa homes test above the EPA action level of 4.0 pCi/L. That makes radon a normal part of owning a home here. We treat it that way. We explain the science plainly, design for the house in front of us, and confirm every install with a post-mitigation test.
We also heard the same frustrations again and again. Homeowners couldn't reach anyone after hours. Sales stalled waiting on a radon fix. Getting a quote meant scheduling an in-person estimate. So we built the company around 24-hour support, fast scheduling for real estate deadlines, and quotes from your test result and photos whenever possible.
Today we handle residential, new construction and commercial systems, radon testing and maintenance for systems installed by anyone, across Des Moines and 25 nearby cities.

Ryan Coleman founded Radon Mitigation Des Moines in March 2016 to give Des Moines homeowners credentialed radon testing and mitigation with a real warranty behind it. He leads a team of Iowa HHS-credentialed technicians serving the metro and central Iowa.
Director of Operations
Eddie Gilroy runs day-to-day operations at Radon Mitigation Des Moines, scheduling testing and installs across the Des Moines metro and making sure every job is done by Iowa HHS-credentialed technicians and verified with a post-mitigation test.
Customer Support
Hillary Jennings is the point of contact for our 24-hour booking and support line. She helps you schedule tests and installs, answers questions about results, and keeps you updated from first call to final report.
We also partner with local, Iowa HHS-credentialed technicians, so every person who tests or mitigates in your home is credentialed and trained.
